L’Epée 1839 La Regatta Métiers d’Art is a series of unique vertical clocks introduced by the Swiss horology maker during LVMH Watch Week 2026 in Milan. The clocks reinterpret L’Epée’s existing La Regatta timepiece by incorporating rare Grand Feu enameling techniques developed with the Georgian atelier David Kakabadze Enamel, applying multiple layers of vitreous enamel to metal surfaces by hand. Each one-of-one Métiers d’Art clock is inspired by nautical themes and executed with high-temperature firing processes that deepen colour intensity and luminous depth.
The elongated, slender silhouette of each clock evokes the form of a racing skiff, aligning the fully visible movement along a single vertical axis that mirrors fluid motion. The mechanism features an in-house calibre with an eight-day power reserve and precision components such as palladium-plated brass and polished stainless steel.
The series includes distinct artistic interpretations, such as cloisonné enamelling with silver paillons to suggest breaking waves and deep blue flinqué enamel over guilloché patterns. Each piece stands over half a metre tall and showcases L’Epée’s combination of mechanical engineering and decorative craftsmanship.
