Samurai-Inspired Intricate Timepieces

Louis Vuitton Introduces the Tambour Bushido Automata

Luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton unveils the dramatically designed Tambour Bushido Automata timepiece, which is inspired by traditional samurai practices. It is developed by the house's La Fabrique du Temps, the brand's in-house atelier. The watch celebrates the bushido code, which is the samurai's philosophy rooted in loyalty and discipline.

The case measures 46.8mm and is made from a blend of titanium and platinum -- it is further detailed with engraved emblems inspired by Japanese culture. This features graphics of sakura blossoms and samurai armor accents throughout. The dial is composed of enameling techniques, including paillonné and cloisonné, which are made around a bold samurai mask. When it is all powered, five animations come to life.
