Implications - Amputees were once subjected to prosthetics made solely for reinforcing bare function without concern for enjoyment or aesthetics. Fortunately, the technological advancement seen in today's medical field allows for amputees everywhere to run, dance, jump, and appear as hot as they would have been with their own natural limbs--if not hotter. It seems that technological advancement has allowed for development in and outside of function.
