Barefoot Collection Furniture Features Resemblance to Mid-Stride Motion

— February 25, 2026 — Art & Design
The Barefoot Collection furniture features legs shaped to resemble mid-stride motion in pieces created by Barcelona-based designer Jorge Suárez Kilzi. The original piece in the collection was a coffee table constructed from solid wood with curved, splayed legs that mimic the arc of a bare foot caught mid-step, while the tabletop remains rectilinear. The collection has expanded to include a dining table and a bench that share the same distinctive leg form.

The legs of each piece are shaped from wood to simulate defined arcs and flex, and the surfaces of the tabletops are kept flat and planar. The dining table is larger in scale, and the bench version carries the same foot-like leg treatment in a longer format. The design construction uses solid wood and detailed joinery to maintain structural stability while achieving the visual effect of implied movement.
