It's hard to imagine any brand out there that defines and epitomizes French fashion and sophistication more than Yves Saint Laurent. The luxury fashion house was founded by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge in 1962. The designer died in 2008 and the label is now designed by Stefano Pilati.
Everyone from Alber Elbaz (who currently designs for Lanvin) to Tom Ford and even Hedi Slimane have at some point designed for Yves Saint Laurent, but it's hard to deny that no one has done so more elegantly and to as much critical acclaim as Mr. Stefano Pilati.
