From Human Pile Photography to Subway Snapshots

On the way from point A to point B, these public transport photography captures pause for just a moment to enjoy part of the journey. The images range from gritty captures of subway street art to ones that focus more on the humans that inhabit these spaces during their commutes. Some of the quirkiest people-focused shots come from a calendar starring pictures of NYC taxi drivers, which is brimming with fun and frivolity.

It’s not always easy to feel friendly to the people around you when you’re in a rush, or packed in tightly onto a bus, streetcar or subway car. For some more heartwarming reminders about human nature, some of these subway captures start to get at some of the stories behind the people who are way to someplace else.
