In Back to the Future, the world was treated to a look at some futuristic footwear when Nike sneakers tied themselves. Today is the future, and futuristic sneakers abound whether in design or in function. Metallic fabrics are being used to give a technological flavor to sneakers. Sometimes, metal is actually used in the shoe, as is the case with the Circuit Board Sneakers.
Beyond just looking futuristic, there are many shoes that have new features of the future. Shoes have pumps on them to make sure that your foot is snug as you walk or run around. Others glow in the dark, which is more for novelty than function, I'd say. So, don't get trapped in the present; look to the future with futuristic footwear.
