The name is Trenton. I am an aspiring important person (critic, commentator, celebrity) who just graduated from McGill University with a degree in Political Science and World Religions. Originally from BC, I am now moving from Montreal to Toronto to set down some roots and make a name for myself. I love debate, discussion and public speaking. In fact, I am a 3 time National Public Speaking Finalist and have competed at the 2012 World University Debate Championships. I also have dabbled in stand-up comedy too. My interests are pop culture, fashion, media, politics, and current events.

What is unique that's not in your bio?
My favorite food is popcorn. I could eat it everyday, in fact I have been known to eat it almost everyday.
What's your favorite accomplishment?
My favorite accomplishment is the awards I have received for public speaking. Those and also graduating from university.
How do you define cool?
Cool is an attitude. It's not about what it is you do, it's about how you do it. Be confident. Do things that interest you. Be yourself.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
Always keep your ears and eyes open. Write things down so you don't forget. Practice web surfing and find the awesome blogs that know cool things before the rest of the world does. Also, trust your own judgement. If it's not a trend yet but you think it is cool then YOU can make it a trend.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
There is something for everyone, and, when there is not, you can fill it in.
What is your favorite trend?
Designer toys are big right now. The best part is there are always new designs, and if you want to you can design a toy yourself. Now adults can reconnect with their childhoods. And if you are feeling especially childish one day then you can actually play with your toys.
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
Be unique. Tell people why you like this trend. Be funny and entertaining. If your post sounds too formulaic and standard your trends will blend in. Make people notice by being different from the rest.
How do you reset to be creative?
Take a walk or a shower - something that allows you to clear your mind and just let you think to yourself for a while.
What inspires or excites you?
I find the most inspiration from talking and listening to people. Discuss things with your friends and family, and then use that discussion as a starting off point for your own unique takes on things.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
That's when I'll be 30! Woah. I believe that we imagine the future before it happens. Sci-fi movies are a great way to tell what we might invent in the near future. I predict holograms, touch screen everything, and computers that we can talk to. Let's just hope the robots don't go crazy like in I-Robot.
