Implications - Brands are expanding women-only spaces outside of business opportunities, and into entertainment and design-centric realms. This gender-specific inclusivity comes as an overdue reactionary response to the explicitly or implicitly all-male spaces that have long-dominated various industries, whether physically or in marketing. As the topic of gender equality is magnified in social and political discourse, such businesses are an inevitable response to the (large and small scale) needs of women and girls, that are finally being addressed in the mainstream.
