41 Creations That Empower Women

March 8th marks this year’s International Women’s Day, but there were a ton of creations that came out within the last year designed to inspire and empower women. One of them included a touching video from Microsoft, rounding up some of the most 'Heroic Women of 2013,' instead of putting out a traditional year-end recap video.

'Riposte,' is a publication that was introduced in late 2013 that takes a similar approach to celebrating women. Although the women featured in this magazine may not be as well known, it celebrates women who are making significant contributions to art, design and science and medical professions.

When it comes to inspiring the next generation of women, toy brands like GoldiBlox and Roominate take a refreshing approach to products, teaching young girls to think like engineers and inventors, encouraging them to build their own dollhouses rather than just decorate them.
