Chandigarh University Opened Uttar Pradesh Campus

— November 18, 2025 — Social Good
Chandigarh University's recently established Uttar Pradesh campus has initiated a series of programs focused on integrating women into the technology sector. The cornerstone of this effort is the NARI Scheme, an acronym for Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion, which is designed to provide female participants with education in artificial intelligence, support for launching new businesses, and health and wellness services.

Chandigarh University's initiative has a defined annual financial allocation of ₹2.20 cror and sets specific three-year targets for the number of women to be trained in technological competencies (1,500), the quantity of female-founded startups to be assisted (150), and the volume of health assessments to be conducted (2,000). A significant physical component of this launch is a newly constructed residential facility for female students, which incorporates contemporary security systems such as facial recognition technology and represents the initial phase of a larger planned expansion to significantly increase its capacity.
