Goldieblox' Rube Goldberg Princess Machine is Massively Inspiring

The GoldieBlox ‘Princess Machine’ commercial is incredibly captivating and a fantastic way to sell its “toys for future engineers.” Its toys are meant to deliver the message that girls can literally build the future. Right off the bat, its commercial sets itself apart from typical advertisements for girls with a remake of the Beastie Boys song ‘Girls’ and an amazing Rube Goldberg machine.

The girls are shown watching a boring commercial on TV and construct a complex Rube Goldberg machine that goes on a complex journey using teacups, feather boas, baby dolls and other girly toys to turn off the television set.

To produce this commercial, Golieblox contacted director Brett Doar, who made OK Go’s ‘This Too Shall Pass’ video, which also features a similarly fun machine. This is a fantastic commercial that will inspire young girls who are just as creative.
