79 Super Comic Book Artworks

With Comic Con officially kicking off today in San Diego, video game and superhero cosplays and tons of comic book artworks are popping up all over the city, as well as around the world.

Over the last few weeks, there have been some really big announcements related to the comic world, with Marvel announcing that it has plans to release new comic series featuring a female Thor and an African American Captain America. Taking inspiration from the ever-changing world of villains and vigilantes, art pieces like collages, paintings, graffiti and illustrations pay tribute to some of the most iconic cartoon heroes by mashing them up with other pop culture characters, logos or objects, tweaking the style of the figures or simplifying their look into the simplest shapes and colors possible.
