BAPE and Bandai Namco Gundam Collaboration installs four custom statues in Shanghai for the upcoming Bandai Namco Carnival 2025, with designs drawn from BAPE, AAPE, BABY MILO and APEE lines. The statues are displayed at the West Bund Dream Center and each one reinterprets a Mobile Suit with streetwear aesthetics including camo patterns, bold branding and urban styling. The installation merges Japanese mecha heritage with street fashion culture, using large-scale sculptures to engage both gaming and style fans in a shared environment.
The custom works serve as physical touchpoints for the Carnival event and highlight how lifestyle and entertainment brands continue to collaborate through spatial design. The project underscores the global appeal of both Gundam and BAPE by situating the intersection at a prominent public venue, creating a new form of branded spectacle.
