Novel-Inspired Makeup Capsules

KimChiChic Beauty Debuts New Line, Inspired by Kim Chi's Novel

KimChiChic Beauty, a cosmetics company established by drag performer Kim Chi, has introduced a limited-run product line themed around the founder's newly published fictional work — 'Donutella Hamachi and the Library Avengers.'

This exclusive assortment comprises three hydrating lip glosses with dessert-inspired scents, a plush keychain designed to store one of the glosses, and supplementary collectible items such as stickers. The product development is directly tied to the characters and central theme in 'Donutella Hamachi and the Library Avengers.'

The book itself is described as a fanciful tale that explores themes of self-acceptance and camaraderie. Kim Chi shares about this milestone: “When I was growing up in Illinois, my local library was a really important part of my life. The book’s heroes go on an epic journey to save their town’s library from destruction. They do it with a lot of flair, and we tried to capture that sassy energy in our beauty capsule, which launches today.”
