Comical City Maps

Aaron Meshon Created a Colorful and Fun Map Of Brooklyn

Children’s book illustrator Aaron Meshon decided to infuse his colorful comic book illustration styles into a quirky map of Brooklyn. The New York City neighbourhood is full of culture and hip aspects, so it was suiting that he depicted it in the same way and steered clear of the typical boring street map designs.

The colorful map of the Brooklyn is very personal; Aaron includes his own perspective of the big city neighborhood, which relates to New York City being a big playground. It features many cartoon characters and animals overtop of major buildings. Even the clouds are personified with eyes and smiley grins.

You can clearly tell he is a child-friendly artist by looking at the map. However, his styles make map-reading a much more interactive and fun experience for everyone.
