Pulp comics are making a comeback and shaking up the comic world as this pulp art illustration series portrays.
When people think of comic books, their first thought usually goes to the superhero genre like Batman and Superman but the real comic genre that has lived on from generation-to-generation is the pulp style and it's coming back with a bang. Leading the way with his crafty lines and bold designs is American artist Brett Parson and his pulp art illustration series. For his series, Parson created a series of illustrations depicting modern comic book characters like The Walking Dead, Tank Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer with a pulp art style twist.
What makes this technique of art look unique is its rugged and sallow look -- giving it an authentic vintage feel -- because of the rough pulp paper used at the time.
