From Social Media Cookbooks to Collaborative Recipe Apps

 - Oct 28, 2015
With the emergence of social network-centered cooking communities and various mobile platforms, consumers are faced with countless choices when it comes to recipe resources. Whether one is looking to adhere to a new diet or is facing a dietary restriction, there is likely a recipe platform that suits those specific needs, either in digital or analog form.

Additionally, several food brands have developed their own interactive social media campaigns that provide inspiration while asking for input from the consumers themselves. A first example of this is the #Modifry campaign from McCain, who partnered with YouTube stars to kick off the series that sees the brand's frozen products incorporated with fresh ingredients. The campaign also includes a branded forum where fans can share recipes of their own.
