In the film 'Kids', youth is portrayed with a vivid and powerful intensity, but the June 2018 youth trends give one the impression that modern youth inhabit a very different brand of hedonism from the one of 1990s New York City. Technology and fashion have been geared toward youth in a way that they never were in the past, giving kids more opportunity than ever to express themselves through consumerism.
There are plenty of tech-enabled toys and games that eclipse the simple items of decades past. However, many parents are beginning to recognize the potential negative impact of being too connected.
