From Water Balloon Performances to Community-Building Balloon Art

Famed artist Jeff Koons arguably started the fascination of balloon art installations. When the American artist launched the 'Jeff Koons: A Retrospect' collection, it created buzz around the use of the inflated balloon. When Koons started using ceramic sculptures to simulate balloons, this sparked a craze amongst art lovers. There are now community-sourced art installations and water balloon performances. Balloons are now becoming a legitimate tool in an artist’s reservoir.
Not only are balloon art installations displayed at museums, many are partaking in the outdoors. Balloon bridges and palace balloon animals are only the beginning of the outdoor experience. This outdoor experience is escalating to an interactive level, unlike before.
