17 PCR Packaging Innovations

From Waste-Based Detergent Bottles to Recycled Shampoo Bottles:

Last year set a strong foundation for consumers to begin bucking the use of single-use plastic and this year, the anti-plastic movement is continuing with outright bans on single-use plastic items, plastic-free supermarket aisles and plenty of new products being introduced with post-consumer resin (PCR) packaging. This kind of packaging works as an environmentally sustainable solution for reusing materials that would otherwise go to waste, such as plastic milk and drinks bottles—Seepje's laundry detergent packaging, for example, is made with HDPE milk bottles.

While some brands are now introducing packaging designs with a portion of materials that are made from PCR, others are committing to introducing sustainable solutions that make the most of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.
