Top 50 Game Trends in July

From Building Virtual Nightclubs to Understanding Humanity in War:

Gamifying aspects of everyday life is a relatively new concept in the gaming industry but the July 2018 gaming trends show that developers and studios are becoming more adept at making mundane activities interactive and compelling.

Attending nightclubs has been an entertaining experience for decades now but very few people may find it fun to actually run these nightclubs. This is the problem Rockstar chose to address in its latest update to Grand Theft Auto V. The new update to the game allows players to create a virtual nightclub within Grand Theft Auto Online and tasks players with building an exciting venue to attract the denizens that inhabit the virtual world.

Also featured on this list is a new and introspective take on the war genre of video game. Set in World War I, Adrian doesn't feature any combat or intense action. Instead, the game focuses on the stories and experiences soldiers carry. The point of the game is not to defeat an enemy or survive an attack, but instead, tasks players with capturing and understanding the humanity and despair involved in war.
