The ASUS ROG Gaming Phone Packs an Impressive Processor

The Razer phone may have been the first official gaming phone but the ASUS ROG phone aims to perfect the gaming phone, while also being the first mobile device for ASUS. Displayed first at Computex 2018 in Taipei, Taiwan, the smartphone will reportedly run on the Android OS and will feature a 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor -- the fastest processor to ever appear on a mobile platform. This incredible processor will be the workhorse for the phone's gaming capabilities and can be bolstered with an "X-Mode" which will raise the minimum clock speed.
Aside from internal performance, the ASUS ROG phone also features a host of supported peripherals to make gaming easier. A dock allows the phone to dock with a PC and two handheld controllers can be connected to the sides of the phone for better control in games. The ASUS ROG phone can also be connected to a TV through the WiGig Dock.
