McDonald's Launches 'McDonaldland VR'

McDonald’s has unveiled 'McDonaldland VR,' an immersive digital environment designed to showcase the brand’s iconic characters and themed worlds. Launching alongside the McDonaldland Meal on August 12, the experience is accessible via Meta Horizon Worlds on Meta Quest or through a web-based VR platform.

Within McDonaldland VR, visitors can interact with animated versions of Grimace, Hamburglar, Birdie, and other classic characters, offering themed zones, interactive mini-games, and collectible rewards. Highlights include the 'Mt. McDonaldland Shake Challenge,' where players gather shake ingredients from a volcanic eruption aboard The Captain’s ship, and the 'Golden Arches Obstacle Course,' featuring condiment geysers, rapids, and oversized brand landmarks.

Additional attractions include the 'Apple Pie Tree Forest,' 'Hamburger Patch,' and 'Filet-O-Fish Lake,' each containing hidden collectibles. Players can complete quests to unlock exclusive in-game wearables, such as the 'Mayor McCheese Hat,' 'Burger Buddy Backpack,' and 'Ronald McDonald’s Guitar.'
