Originally designed for Japan’s automotive industry, QR Code integration in products and designs is now becoming more wide spread then ever. Some of the industries that make use of this technology range from fashion to architecture to even agriculture.
QR Code, abbreviated for Quick Response Code, is a barcode that is readable by gadgets, namely and most commonly the smartphone. Following the smartphone boom, artists, designers and marketers are now integrating gadget-dependent designs to their work, leveraging the interactive nature of their services and products.
QR codes are intriguing for the fact that their meaning, by definition, is hidden. The only way to find out what is buried behind the code is for the audience to scan it themselves. QR code is currently a mystic and fun novelty.
