From Singer-Curated Makeup Collections to Fruit Pigment Cosmetics

 - Oct 29, 2016
As the October 2016 makeup trends reveal, consumers are eager for products that are curated by the favorite celebrities and online influencers. Additionally, there is also a demand for gimicky products that are more about fun and experimentation than about functionality.

In recent years, curated collections created by online influencers and celebrities have become extremely popular among consumers of all ages. Among younger consumers, collections by personalities such as Zoë Kravitz continue to prove extremely popular. Among older consumers, collections by more established stars such as Taraji P. Henson and Victoria Beckham are also in high demand.

Beyond these curated collections, the October 2016 makeup trends also reveal a focus on fun and experimental beauty products. While these products are unlikely to become a regular part of a woman's beauty routine, they do provide an easy way to experiment with different looks. Some examples of these more off-beat beauty products include unicorn-inspired highlighters, fruit pigment cosmetics and pumpkin-flavored lip balms.
