Sustainable Streetwear: Brands within the streetwear space are increasingly prioritizing sustainable production with the use of plant-based materials in their collections. With young consumers typically being the marketed demographic for streetwear, amalgamating this style with these generations' environmentally conscious values enhances the appeal of vegan clothing and accessories.

Millennials and Gen Z are the target demographics for most streetwear brands, and they tend to prefer the small handful of companies that have branded themselves as mainstays in streetwear. However, a big draw that pushes young consumers to new brands is when companies establish and uphold progressive policies and values–like the promotion of social causes or eco-conscious production. Being able to purchase both to their tastes and in alignment with their values is important for young consumers as they navigate the political and social issues that exist today.
