There are plenty of footwear brands producing ethical and sustainable shoes but finding these traits within the category of performance shoes can be a challenge—fortunately, VIVOBAREFOOT is now introducing its innovative new Primus Lite II Bio as one of the world's first plant-based performance shoes. These unisex and vegan shoes are made with over more than 30% renewable plant-based materials, including Bio TPU made from yellow dent field corn, natural rubber and harvested algae called Bloom. Thanks to its unique materials, the sustainable and highly efficient shoe design weighs about 10% less than today's standard performance shoes.
The Primus Lite II Bio is now available as part of a limited run and represents VIVOBAREFOOT's goal of working towards using 100% bio-based materials in future versions of the product.
