When it comes to bikes, the seat is one area that designers seem to have given up on. So long as a seat is lightweight or comfortable, creatives don't seem to see a need in trying to re-invent the wheel. That being said, there's always room for improvement, especially when it comes to something you sit on for (possibly) hours on end.

These atypical cyclist seat designs include conceptual designs meant to drain rain water and seats that open beers. What's even better is that some of these seats aren't attached to bikes. Yes, it is possible for a bike seat to have a life after its owner has given up on it. Creating a bench out of an old bike seat is upcycling at its finest.
