Aidan Reinold Designs the FoldSeat in a Portable Form

— May 1, 2025 — Art & Design
New York City-based furniture designer Aidan Reinhold designs the FoldSeat, which is a monomaterial furniture made entirely from aluminum. Notably, it can be folded completely flat and fit comfortably in a FedEx box measuring 12 by 17 inches. This also means that it can be carried around and pulled out when it is needed.

The entire FoldSeat is made from aluminum -- the sheets, the hinges, as well as the rivets. It is lightweight and stur, ady as the choice of using aluminum ensures that it is durable and resistant to various weather conditions. The chair has clean lines and a modern look that complements a plethora of styles. The folding mechanism makes it easy to fold away when it isn't in use.
