Adaptive Public Seating

The ADP Bench Encourages Playful Engagement in Public Seating Furniture

The ADP Bench encourages playful engagement in public seating furniture designed by Spacon Studio & +Halle to invite adults to interact in new ways. The bench features circular seats that spin, adjustable heights, and surfaces that can become table tops. It’s built with MDF and steel, accented by galvanized blue zinc finishes and plastic gliders to ensure stability on uneven ground. Color options include Plum, Ivory, and Pale Lime, giving it a friendly yet refined appearance. Every piece is engineered for durability while delivering light-hearted interaction.

Multiple seating units can transform into higher benches or casual surfaces depending on how people use them. The hybrid design allows users to rearrange seating positions in moments according to their comfort or mood. Rather than enforcing rigid form, the bench adapts to behavior—letting people lean, twist, perch, or rest. It turns waiting or resting into an opportunity for small delight and subtle play in shared spaces.
