Cultural Heritage Beer Branding

Swing Microbrewery Celebrates Quebec's Rich History

Swing Microbrewery is a company based in Quebec, a province with a rich history and an abundance of culture. Graphic designer Simon Langlois wanted to celebrate these aspects when coming up with the branding for this beer, and as such has used text "inspired by Native American petroglyphs, considering many Quebecois identity symbols are borrowed from Native American culture," according to Package Inspiration.

The beer comes in two different types of packaging: one for the launch party as a limited edition bottle, and others for commercial use. The limited edition version consists of crisscrossed straps going across the bottle, representing the blending of cultures in Quebec. Considering the province is made up of people ranging from Asian to Irish, it's certainly fitting to symbolize this melting pot of individuals.
