The IKEA Kungsbacka kitchen cabinet collection combines the sleek Scandinavian style for which IKEA is known with an environmental bent. The new kitchen storage system is made entirely from reclaimed wood and recycled plastic bottles, turning common waste products into functional and attractive kitchen decor.

Form Us With Love, a Swedish design studio, partnered with the massive furniture retailer to release the IKEA Kungsbacka. Each 40 centimeter by 80 centimeter cabinet unit is made from twenty-five plastic bottles, with the rest of the material coming from reclaimed wood pulp. According to Jonas Pettersson, the CEO of Form Us With Love, the product is designed "to challenge the excuses for not using waste as a resource by showing how to best put these material [sic] back into production."
