Figure, the company building advanced robots for real tasks in real environments, taught two Figure 03 robots to clean a room and make a bed in less than two minutes. As part of this demonstration, the pair of humanoid robots supported by a Helix-02 neural network system opened doors, hung clothes, put away items, took out trash, tucked in a chair, and worked in tandem to put bedding in order. Individually, each robot read the room using its own cameras and worked alongside its partner without passing messages or pre-planning their actions. As Figure shared in a news release, "To our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of a single learned neural network performing multi-humanoid collaborative locomanipulation, directly from pixels to actions."
Figure's Helix continuously becomes more capable as more data is added, and its humanoids have already proven to be proficient in specific tasks like folding laundry and loading the dishwasher.

Trend Themes
-
Multi-humanoid Collaboration — The coordination of independent humanoids performing shared manipulation tasks suggests new paradigms for distributed robotic teamwork in cluttered, human-centric environments.
-
End-to-end Pixel-to-action Learning — Training a single neural system to map raw camera input directly to coordinated motor actions points to scalable perception-to-control models that reduce the need for hand-engineered planning pipelines.
-
Continual Data-driven Capability Scaling — A model that improves as more real-world interactions are added indicates opportunities for incremental deployment strategies where fleet-wide learning accelerates task generalization across homes.
Industry Implications
-
Residential Robotics — Autonomous humanoids capable of rapid, reliable tidying and manipulation open possibilities for consumer-grade home assistants that handle varied domestic chores.
-
Hospitality and Housekeeping — Robots that collaboratively clean and reset rooms could transform turnover operations in hotels and short-term rentals by enabling faster, consistent room preparation.
-
Elder Care and Assisted Living — Capable humanoids that safely manage clothing, beds, and household items present potential to augment caregiving by supporting mobility-limited residents with daily living tasks.
