Commemorating the 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident, Google included aliens and spaceships in its search engine. Aside from interactive digital media that reenacts extra terrestrial landing, many home decor designs seem to also focus on the galactic theme.
Many souvenir shops carry UFO or alien-themed gifts. Lasse Klein’s 'Alien Abduction' lamp mimics a spaceship shining down on a cow. Geared more towards children, the lamp automatically injects a neon green, sci-fi vibe into any room. Star Wars or alien-printed home items are always relevant, especially for decorating boys' bedrooms.
While some items are blatantly sci-fi themed, others subtly resemble the appearance of UFOs. A re-configurable lighting design titled 'Endangered Species' lets you mix and match 23 differently shaped light bulbs to create your own UFO-esque light.
