This lighting design by Phillip Toesev is more than just a fascinating fixture; it's a reconfigurable work of art. This creative work titled 'Endangered Species' contains 23 light bulbs of different sizes and shapes. There are multiple ways the bulbs can be put together, which makes the assembling process more like an exciting art project.
As the name suggests, the Endangered Species was inspired by insects or jellyfish; the sculptural pieces resemble limbs of rare exotic creatures. The decorative bulbs could even be assembled into a sci-fi-esque, UFO-type configuration.
These lights have usually been designed for art exhibitions, but are on sale now for $450; it works with standard ceiling electrical boxes and works with regular switches or dimmers.
