33 Super Bowl 2016 Commercials

While the big game may be over, fans can still enjoy the Super Bowl 2016 commercials any time. Although this year's ads were decidedly less sentimental than previous offerings, the 2016 commercial lineup delivered a wonderful mix of strange and hilarious commercials.

One of the obvious threads running through this year's Super Bowl ads was the use of celebrities. From the T-Mobile ad featuring Drake in his infamous grey turtleneck to the Budweiser commercial starring renowned actress Helene Mirren, there was no shortage of celebrity faces on game night. There was even an ode to the late David Bowie in the Audi's R8 commercial.

The Super Bowl 2016 commercials were also characterized by a movement towards weird and unexpected humor. For example, Mountain Dew's 'Puppy Monkey Baby' ad featured a strange hybrid animal that looked like something out of a fantasy film. Doritos went an even more shocking route with a commercial that involved a baby escaping a pregnant woman's womb in order to reach the precious snackfood.
