The Pokemon Super Bowl Commercial Urges Fans to 'Train On'

In celebration of Pokémon's 20th anniversary, there will be a Pokémon Super Bowl commercial this year that encourages fans to 'Train On.' The ad begins with a young boy who is inspired to run, who in turn inspires a young girl to begin training to become a master of chess. This chain is repeated until a Pokémon trainer is finally introduced.

The aim of the commercial is to highlight the competitive aspects of gameplay of its cards and video games.

The Pokémon Super Bowl 50 commercial will also be part of a larger #Pokemon20 campaign to honor the brand. The ad spot will also be airing ahead of Pokémon Day on February 27th, which will play a part in celebrating iconic anime characters like Charizard, Jigglypuff and Pikachu once more.
