Dystopian AI Ads

The Debut Anthropic Super Bowl Ad Rejects Sponsored AI Answers

AI-powered advertising has become a hot topic, even making its way into Big Game commercials, and the debut Anthropic Super Bowl ad drives home the message that "Ads are coming to AI. But not to Claude."

Anthropic's Claude is positioned as a safe, secure and accurate next-gen AI assistant, and as part of the company's Keep Thinking platform, this Anthropic campaign imagines a near future where answers from artificial intelligence are sponsored. In all, there are four commercials from Anthropic, each of which opens with a word like "Betrayal,” “Violation,” “Deception,” or “Treachery.”

"Claude will remain ad-free. Our users won’t see 'sponsored' links adjacent to their conversations with Claude; nor will Claude’s responses be influenced by advertisers or include third-party product placements our users did not ask for," shared Anthropic in the blog post accompanying the Big Game spot.
