Candy Portraiture Commercials

This Skittles Super Bowl Ad Features the Legendary Steven Tyler

Fans have become fairly familiar with Skittles' 'Taste the Rainbow' slogan, but this year's Skittles Super Bowl commercial is the first time that the candy brand invited a celebrity to help share its message.

This Skittles commercial combines the brand's fun and sense of whimsy with the edge and wit of rocker Steven Tyler. In the commercial, a portrait made of Skittles in Tyler's likeness in unveiled. Naturally, the singer challenges the art piece to a test of vocal skills, particularly the high note that the real Steven Tyler can hit. In the end, the Skittles portrait keeps up as best it can, but is unable to compete with Tyler's legendary range.

The Skittles Super Bowl 50 ad takes inspiration from many of the brand's fans who have taken the time to put together recipes, artwork and even stop-motion films using the colorful candy pieces.
