65 Tributes to Worst & Best Dressed Lists

As many of us turned on the television or fired up the internet this morning, we learned that one of Hollywood’s most famous fashion icons and creator of Blackwell’s Worst & Best Dressed lists, Richard Blackwell, passed away from an intestinal disease. Mr. Blackwell was 86 years of age.

Blackwell’s Worst and Best Dressed Lists have been around since the sixties. Though he gave his opinions on both, it was Blackwell’s Worst Dressed list that has received the most buzz and attention over the decades. During the 1960s, a couple of celebrities that made his "bad" list were Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor.

Flash forward to modern times, and several celebs have not only been on Blackwell’s Worst Dressed list once, but numerous times over the decades. Victoria Beckham and Britney Spears topped the list while a few fortunate celebrities, like Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie, were on Blackwell’s Best Dressed List.

Mr. Blackwell will surely be missed among all the people who knew and loved him over the years; as will those who followed his career without knowing him personally.
