Spain's leading white wine brand, Barbadillo, launched a partnership with Thinfilm that gives consumers the chance to interact with its Castillo de San Diego white wine bottles like never before.
While there are many beverage brands that list websites for consumers to visit and include scannable QR codes to encourage consumers to learn more about a limited-time promotion, Barbadillo's bottles are equipped with NFC technology from Thinfilm to boost interactions. By tapping a smartphone to the neck of a smart wine bottle with Thinfilm's SpeedTap tag, wine drinkers are able to instantly learn more about how they may win a cash prize using a code printed on the inside of the white wine bottle's cork.
