Identiv collaborated with OTACA Tequila to introduce a smart tequila bottle that uses NFC-enabled packaging to engage consumers, enhance loyalty, build brand awareness and prove product authentication. The tap-and-go NFC model gives consumers the ability to use their NFC-enabled Android or Apple iOS device to tap the tag to initiate the experience, learn about the history of the product, when the next harvest will be, or even place a new order.

NTAG 210u NFC tags power this smart packaging solution for OTACA and it supports a contactless future where people want to engage with brands in new ways, all the while experiencing the benefits of NFC and the blockchain.

Thanks to this collaboration, OTACA is among the first tequila companies of its kind to fully digitize its product offerings with NFC.
