Fragmented Cloud Photography

This Artist Created a Whimsical Installation With Sky Photographs

Artist Michaela Lattanzio created this abstract art installation using hand-cut sky photographs. Each image was cut into the shape of a hexagon and attached to a wireframe stand -- the toothpicks were then arranged to form a unique swirl design.

This art display is mounted on top of a sand-covered gallery floor and is titled 'SandCloud,' a name that embodies its scenic sky photographs and sandy accents. This particular art project is Michaela Lattanzio's most recent addition to her 'Fragmenta' collection.

While this artist's previous works include mosaic portraits of humans, this nature-inspired piece is a fresh look at a traditional landscape. The intricate detail of each hexagonal image shares an abstract view of traditional photography. This artwork will be on display at the Bi-Box Art Space in Biella, Italy in September.
