In-App Restaurant Games

Schlotzsky's Restaurant Has Added Two Games to Its App

Schlotzsky's restaurant, a fast food chain that specializes in sandwiches, is leveraging gamification to engage customers and boost sales.

The food chain added two games to its app last year, "Stackin' the Original" game and the "Scratch, Match and Win" game. While the stacking-based game challenges players to stack 13 sandwich ingredients on a sour dough bun as they fall from the sky, the Scratch and Match game offers players the opportunity to win from a variety of food and drink offerings. In both cases, as the players progress through the rounds, they can acclimate points which can be used to redeem in-restaurant rewards.

The in-app games intend to help a consumer engage socially with the restaurant, while building a stronger foundation to ensure consumer loyalty.
