For one day, Liverpool's Paradise Street was host to a pop-up Salad Bar from Subway. Although Subway is best known as a sandwich chain, the brand used this stunt to introduce its new Salad of the Day offering for the summer. Naturally, this new initiative responds to the consumer desire for healthy, fresh and easily available food options.
At the pop-up Salad Bar on the streets, people passing by were encouraged to help themselves to the selection of fresh produce. By giving away free salad ingredients, the brand hopes to be a force in pushing the health-conscious movement further.
Although the pop-up bar doesn't give consumers the immediate gratification of enjoying a prepared meal to eat right away, it's hard for anyone to refuse anything free, even if it is a whole onion or an ear of corn.
