Blurred Creature Artwork (UPDATE)

Rop van Mierlo Tricks the Eye with His Clever Creations

Rop van Mierlo is a talented artist with a knack for making creatures out of blurred lines and shapes. Although his drawings never look completely like an animal, he still manages to conjure up these thoughts of things when people observe his work.

For example, there is one picture in his latest book titled 'Some Logic,' that has only two colors: gray and yellow. Vague strokes of the paintbrush have been used to create some type of outline, but nothing definitive. However, upon closer inspection it's hard not to think of a bumble bee buzzing off the page. While it's not completely obvious, it's also hard to get the image out of your head once it's been formed.
