The Blur Coffee Table by Dhruv Agarwwal Embraces Perfect Imperfection

— February 3, 2026 — Art & Design
The Blur coffee table is a sculptural furniture piece created by designer Dhruv Agarwwal that combines steel mesh construction with hand-applied enamel surfaces. The tabletop is formed from a precisely cut steel mesh base, over which layers of Meena enamel are applied by hand in varying thicknesses. This process produces irregular color distribution and subtle surface variation, causing the table’s appearance to shift depending on light conditions and viewing angle.

The enamel work was developed in collaboration with traditional metal and enamel artisans from Moradabad, India, where Meena craftsmanship has a long production history. Extensive material testing was carried out to ensure that the thicker enamel layers could bond securely to the mesh structure without cracking or separation. The table is supported by a steel base designed to maintain structural stability while keeping the overall form visually light.
