Old Forester, "America’s First Bottled Bourbon," has launched its new line of cocktail provisions in partnership with Barrel Foods. The collection features three bitters, two syrups and one tincture, all of which are designed to elevate and simplify the home cocktail experience. The collection of Old Forester cocktail provisions were crafted by master taster and bourbon specialist Jackie Zykan, and were inspired by the unique and robust flavors of the distillery.
The bitters featured in the collection include Hummingbird bitters, Smoked Cinnamon bitters and Bohemian bitters. The syrups include a Perfect Old Fashioned expression and an Ole-Saccharum syrup. The single tincture in the collection is probably the most interesting expression by Old Forester as the simple idea of a Sea Salt & Black Pepper tincture is able to incredibly elevate cocktails. Crafted as a blend of smoked sea salt and black pepper, this unique tincture adds a slight spice and dimension to cocktails, while also taming bitter notes.
