Proof cocktail syrups are a new line of artisan flavorings that range from traditional tastes to oddball concoctions. The cocktail syrups were created by a bartender-led team based in Decatur, Georgia and go far beyond just mere sugar and water. The syrups already feature bitters in the mix and are made traditionally with organic cane sugar and carefully chosen bitters. There are currently three expression of Proof cocktail syrups, including pecan, traditional and maple bacon.
Proof cocktail syrups are best mixed with bourbon or rye whiskey, as each syrup was carefully created to blend with the notes given off by these spirits. The Pecan sticks true to its name, as it is made withe oven-roasted Georgia pecans that give provide a delicious, smooth and nutty cocktail. The Traditional combines old fashioned-styled syrups with aromatic bitters to create a textbook old fashioned. Finally, the Maple Bacon features Vermont maple syrup, smoky bacon and a pinch of salt—the resulting combination is a smoky and elevated cocktail that blends savory notes with sweet.
